What is the Stadium of Hope campaign?
-
The Stadium of Hope is an Act for Kids fundraising and awareness campaign as part of Child Protection Week 2024.
All children in Australia deserve to be safe, happy, and loved.
But every year, there’s between 45,000 and 50,000 confirmed cases of children in Australia experiencing abuse and neglect. That number of children could fill Suncorp Stadium.
This Child Protection Week, you can support kids by taking your seat in the Act for Kids virtual Stadium of Hope. Virtual seats are available for $10. Help us fill Suncorp Stadium with a united show of support - every seat represents a chance at hope and healing for kids, giving them access to essential therapy and support services.
-
-
How do I purchase a virtual seat?
-
To purchase a virtual seat, first select whether you wish to purchase as an individual/s, family or as an organisation. Then simply choose the number of virtual seats you wish to purchase and complete your details. All proceeds go directly to Act for Kids to fund essential therapy and support services.
-
-
Is my virtual seat a tax-deductible donation?
-
Yes, your purchase of a virtual seat in the Stadium of Hope is a tax-deductible donation. Act for Kids is a registered charity, and all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia. After your purchase, you will receive a receipt via email which you can use for your tax records.
-
-
Is there a minimum or maximum number of virtual seats I can purchase?
-
The minimum number of virtual seats you can purchase is one, and there is no maximum limit. The more virtual seats you purchase in the Stadium of Hope, the bigger difference our therapists can make in the lives of children impacted by abuse and neglect.
-
-
Where does my donation go?
-
When you take your virtual seat in the Act for Kids Stadium of Hope, you’re helping kids through a tough time, and giving them every chance to thrive.
Act for Kids’ teams of speech and language therapists, psychologists and occupational therapists and specialist teams work alongside each child so they can reach their full potential.
Working with children impacted by harm or trauma is complex, but the sooner we start helping, the more chance we can change a child’s life for the future.
